I designed and implemented an Airbnb vacation rental within a historic Qing dynasty building in Hangzhou, China. Erected beside a wetland and designed with natural materials and style of the architecture, interior, and landscape, I aimed to supplement this historic design with modern treatment, building a bridge between tradition and modern, the past and the current. Since its public opening in 2021, many people have witnessed its artistic and cultural value. Visitors are offered tea customized to their bodily needs, and experience the healing effect of the natural design and atmosphere to retrieve their inner power.
